Safety Bus has been delivering on-site occupational risk prevention training for over 15 years, serving major accounts in banking, insurance, local authorities, and industry. To enhance accessibility, they introduced an augmented reality (AR) training application, allowing employees to simulate fire safety scenarios directly in their work environment.
In collaboration with SoWhen? and BPCE Group, they developed a mixed reality (MR) application combining real fire extinguishers with virtual fires. This innovative solution includes a trainer module to create scenarios and a trainee module for interactive fire extinguisher use.
The application leverages the HTC VIVE Ultimate Tracker for mobility and precision tracking, integrating seamlessly with physical extinguishers. Paired with the compact VIVE XR Elite headset, the system provides realistic, portable, and intuitive fire safety training, meeting evolving technological needs.

At Safety Bus, we have been providing turnkey training courses in occupational risk prevention for the past 15 years. These courses are delivered directly on company premises and are designed for all employees.
Our clients include major accounts in the banking, insurance, and local authority sectors, as well as the industrial sector.
When a mobile training unit is not an option, our augmented reality training application becomes an invaluable tool. It allows us to bring training to employees in their working environment.
Compared to traditional training, the application enables users to experience a simulated fire directly on their computer or desktop. This encourages learners to respond in real-time and develop essential safety reflexes in the workplace.
At SoWhen?, our mission is to help companies leverage new technologies to create innovative and transformative experiences.
We have been collaborating with Safety Bus for several years. Together, and in partnership with the BPCE group, we developed a mixed reality application tailored to address fire safety training needs.
The advantage of mixed reality lies in blending real and virtual elements. In this project, we combined physical fire extinguishers with virtual fires, simulating dangerous real-life scenarios safely.
The application has two main components: a trainer section, allowing instructors to create fire scenarios, and a trainee section, where users can interact with virtual extinguishers to practice fire safety protocols effectively.
