Changing VIVE Host settings
In
VIVE Host, you can change settings for your managed headsets, check for and install app updates, and more.
- In VIVE Host, tap More on the right.
-
Tap a category on the left to see its settings.
You can change any of the following settings:
Category Settings General - Language: Choose the system language to use on the headsets.
- Date and time: Turn on Use network-provided time to adjust the date and time automatically on the headsets. Turn it off to manually set the time zone to use on the headsets.
Advanced - Tracking mode:
Set the headsets to use one of following tracking modes:
- 6DoF: Ideal for use with content that allows users to freely move within a 3D virtual space or content that provides high levels of immersion or interaction. This mode requires initial environment setup, where users draw the safety boundary in their space.
- Visual Odometry (VO): Suitable for use with content designed for stationary experiences or learning. This mode doesn't require setup. The system automatically creates a safety boundary using the user as the point of origin, allowing them to start the experience immediately after putting on their headset.
- Controller pairing UI: If you're launching non-interactive content such as videos and still images which don't require controllers to be used, turn this off to hide the controller pairing screen on the headsets.
- Show floor boundary: Turn this on or off to display or hide the virtual floor boundary on the headsets.
- Debug mode: Turn this on if you encounter issues and need to enable headsets to record logs.
Agent VIVE Host client: Displays the VIVE Host app version. Tap Check for updates to check if there's a new update available to install.
