What is Private 5G (P5G) and how does it differ from public 5G or Wi-Fi?

Private 5G is a small private network for controlling throughput and latency to address the use cases you are trying to solve. Public 5G, on the other hand, can't provide this level of control for every user due to throughput and latency limitations. Wi-Fi is a shared architecture and suffers from the same issues as Public 5G, not being able to control user equipment experiences.

What is G REIGNS?

G REIGNS is a business unit within HTC. Our mission is to provide an optimized 5G network solution to help Enterprises seamlessly complete their 5G digital transformations. As opposed to other public/private 5G carriers, we are open to collaboration and are hardware agnostic, supporting an array of partners across the spectrum of Core Systems to Servers and Radio manufacturers.

Yes, the HTC G REIGNS is built on an ORAN-compliant architecture, which ensures multi-vendor interoperability. Our vCU and vDU stack has been validated with leading 5G Core solutions from Ericsson, Nokia, Cisco, NEC, Affirmed, Druid, Athonet, Ataya, and more.

We've also validated compatibility with O-RU vendors such as Alpha, AmpliTech, Benetel, Eridan, LIONS, LiteOn, MTI, and WNC.

In addition, G REIGNS supports major COTS platforms including Dell, Supermicro, and Cisco—providing flexibility and seamless integration into existing infrastructure.

How many devices can a G REIGNS P5G server support simultaneously?

G REIGNS P5G solutions can support up to 30 XR users simultaneously, and we can handle many more depending on the use case (phones, tablets, IoT devices, etc.). XR is the hardest to solve in terms of latency and throughput compared to traditional devices.

What level of bandwidth is guaranteed for each device?

We can achieve 80 Mbps per XR headset across 30 XR devices in a single room. Bandwidth planning is adjusted based on your environment and performance needs.

How does P5G ensure low latency and predictable performance?

P5G provides the user with control through the profiles we have for XR vs. traditional devices. The required throughput can control each user experience, and we will help design and deliver the performance required.

What makes G REIGNS Private 5G more reliable than Wi-Fi in industrial environments?

There is less interference with Private 5G than with Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi typically will need far more access points than 5G and still struggles with congestion and handovers.

Does P5G support both indoor and outdoor wide-area coverage?

Yes, we have support for both indoor and outdoor, or a combination.

How does Private 5G protect against data leakage?

5G over the air is encrypted, and there is a SIM-level control of the devices on the private network. The 5G system is on-premises and requires no connection to the outside world, creating a 5G bubble. We also have an optional Zero Trust layer from Zscaler to ensure security.

What does “zero-trust enabled by Zscaler” mean for enterprise users?

Zero Trust essentially controls every single packet of data passing through the network and can block what is considered harmful to the network.

Is G REIGNS P5G solution compliant with 3GPP and O-RAN standards?

Yes, our system is fully aligned with 3GPP and O-RAN specifications using COTS x86 base server. Interoperable with 5GC and O-RU from third-party vendors.

Can G REIGNS P5G be used in classified or sensitive environments like defense or healthcare?

Yes, we have Private 5G - which is already secure - and we also provide an additional layer of security with Zscaler Zero Trust. Please keep in mind that Private 5G is not connected to any external networks and is completely on-premises.

How easy is it to deploy and maintain a Private 5G network?

Most sites can be deployed in days or weeks. Once installed, the system is simple to maintain through centralized monitoring, SIM management, and remote support.

What infrastructure is required for large coverage across indoor and outdoor environments?

We can typically mount radio units on existing structures, indoors or outdoors. We expect more than 2-4 radio units to meet coverage needs, unlike Wi-Fi, which typically requires more infrastructure planning.
