My computer only has a USB Type-C port, can I still use the VIVE Wired Streaming Kit?
Yes, you can. Use the
USB Type-C to DP adapter included in the
VIVE Wired Streaming Kit box to connect the DP cable of the
converter to your computer's
USB Type-C port.
You'll also need to connect the USB Type-A cable of the
converter to your computer.
Important:
- DisplayPort mode using the VIVE Wired Streaming Kit is only supported on VIVE Focus Vision.
- The
USB Type-C port on your computer needs to support DP alt mode. Also, the port—which the DP cable of the
converter is plugged in to—must be connected to the dedicated GPU (dGPU). Refer to the manufacturer’s user manual to check.
If your computer is using an NVIDIA graphics card, you can check if the USB Type-C port is connected to the GPU. Open the NVIDIA Control Panel, and then under 3D Settings, click Set PhysX Configuration.
