How do I update the converter's firmware?
Make sure to keep the converter's firmware up-to-date so it always has the latest features and enhancements.
Here's how to update the converter's firmware:
- On your computer, download the firmware update.
-
Disconnect the headset from the converter.
Important: Make sure the converter's USB Type-A cable is connected to the PC.
- Unzip converterfwtool.zip.
- Browse for and double-click ConverterFWTool.exe.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to update the converter's firmware.
Important:
- Don't disconnect the converter from your PC until the firmware update finishes as it may cause the converter to malfunction. If the update process is interrupted, run the firmware update tool (v. 1.0.0.15 or later) again and make sure the update finishes. You can check the firmware update tool version in Version.txt included in the zip package.
- If you're unable to update the converter's firmware even after several attempts, it may be because your PC is not recognizing the converter. Try the following:
- Restart your PC and run the firmware update tool again.
- Plug the converter to a different USB Type-A port on your PC.
