Exporting maps and map boundary data

Export a map and its map boundary data from a device to share it with other devices.
Important: You can only export a map created using the VIVE Location-Based Software Suite (LBSS). For instructions, see the following topics:
  1. In VIVE Business+, go to Manage devices > Registered.
  2. Click the device where the map you want to export is located.
    Note: Make sure the device is active (green circle).
  3. In the Device details page, scroll down to Environment, and do the following:
    Export a map

    If you didn't use VIVE Manager to create the map, you'll need to put the headset in sleep mode first by pressing the headset button, and then wake up the device (press headset button again) before proceeding.

    1. Click Export next to Export map.
    2. Enter a map Name and Description. We recommend entering a map name and detailed description to distinguish between different maps.
    3. Click Export. The map will be exported to the cloud.
    Export the map boundary
    1. Click Export next to Export boundary. You can only export a map boundary with the same tracking mode and map ID.
    2. Enter the Boundary name and Description.
    3. Click Export. The map boundary will be exported to the cloud.
    Important:
    • When exporting the map and map boundary, make sure the device doesn't go to sleep and that it's always connected to a Wi‍-Fi network throughout the export process.
    • Depending on the map size, map boundary size, and network conditions, it may take a few minutes to export the map and map boundary data. See How do I check the map export progress?.

To see the map and map boundary details, click Manage storage > Map in the left panel of VIVE Business+.
