Exporting maps and map boundary data

Export a map and its map boundary data from a device to share it with other devices.
Important: You can only export a map created using the VIVE Location-Based Software Suite (LBSS). To learn how to create a map, go to Creating a map using VIVE Manager or Creating a map without VIVE Manager.
  1. In VIVE Business+, go to Manage devices > Registered.
  2. Click the device where the map you want to export is located.
    Note: Make sure the device is active (green circle).
  3. In the Device details page, scroll down to Environment, and do the following:
    Export a map
    1. Click Export next to Export map. If you’ve just created your play area boundary, you'll need to suspend (go to sleep mode), and then wake up the device before exporting the map.
    2. Enter a map Name and Description. We recommend entering a map name and detailed description to distinguish between different maps.
    3. Click Export. The map is then exported to the cloud. Depending on the map size and network conditions, it may take a few minutes to upload the map.
    Export the map boundary
    1. Click Export next to Export boundary. You can only export a map boundary with the same tracking mode and map ID.
    2. Enter the Boundary name and Description.
    3. Click Export. The map boundary is then exported to the cloud. Depending on the map boundary size and network conditions, it may take a few minutes to upload the boundary map.
In the VIVE Business+ left panel, go to Manage storage > Map to see the map and map boundary details.
To check the export map status for a specific device, go to Manage devices > Registered. Then click the device you want to check and scroll down to Environment. Click next to Results.

To delete the map on the device, scroll down to Settings, and then click Clear next to Clear device map.
