Releasing a seat license

If a registered device is no longer being used, release the seat license for that device to better manage the use of your seats.
  1. In VIVE Business+, go to Manage devices > Devices.
  2. Select the unused device.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click Factory reset.
  4. Make sure Only factory reset device. Do not remove device from VIVE Business+ is not selected.
  5. Click Reset.
Important:
  • Enrolling a device that is currently enrolled in one organization to another organization will automatically release the seat license from the organization where the device was originally enrolled.
  • Performing a factory reset through the device will not release the seat license. If you already performed a factory reset through the device, you'll need to enroll the device again to VIVE Business+. After enrolling, use VIVE Business+ to perform the factory reset to release the seat license.
To check how many remaining seats and expiring licenses you have for your organization, go to Manage organization, and then click the License tab.
