Creating ArUco markers for Marker-Based Scene Alignment

Use one or more ArUco markers to align a virtual scene with the physical environment.
  1. Open the VIVE ArUco Marker Generator on your PC.
  2. Specify the Marker ID for the main marker.
  3. Specify the length of the sides of the marker in centimeters.
  4. Specify the DPI for the marker. DPI is set to 72 by default.
  5. For Function, select Marker-Based Scene Alignment. The Secondary marker ID and Main marker height (cm) fields will appear.
  6. Optional: Enter an ID for a secondary marker.
  7. Optional: Specify the height of the primary marker in centimeters.
    Note:
    • The height of the main marker is defined as the distance from the floor to the center of the main marker.
    • If you're putting the marker on the floor, set the height to 0.
    • Two markers must be placed in the play area at the same height.
  8. Click Save. The marker settings will appear on the list.
  9. Click Generate. The marker settings will be downloaded as a JSON file.
  10. Copy the JSON file to the mobile device you'll use to create the LBE map.
