Step 6: Remove LoTo, and Open Main and Residual Pressure Valve
Once the pump has been serviced, the trainee should remove the valves locks and tags on the main valve and residual pressure valve, and open them both.
To open the valves, they should grab it with their hand and press the trigger button. A pressure release sound will be heard when the trainee opens the pressure release valve. Once both valves have been turned on, the pressure gauge should read
60 psi.
If the trainee does not properly remove lock and tag from both valves after servicing the pump, this will result in a BAD score for Used locks and tags correctly grade on the scoreboard.
