Setup 5: Apply and remove LoTo - Circuit Breaker Switch and Valve

In this setup, the trainee will practice applying and removing locks and tags to a switch and a valve. The trainee starts in a room with the console in front of them, a circuit panel to their left with a switch and a valve.
The cabinet behind them has the following:
  • 2 tags
  • 2 valve locks
  • 2 switch locks

The circuit breaker switch starts in the ON position, and the valve is open.

The following appears on the console screen:

Toggle off the circuit breaker switch on the panel by touching them and squeezing your index finger. Close the valve using the same action.

Switch Off appears above the switch in blue, and Close appears above the valve. The trainee must approach each, reach with their hands, and press the trigger.

After the trainee has switched off the switch and closed the valve, the following will appear on the console screen:

Open the cabinet and take appropriate locks, then put them on the circuit breaker switch and the valve. After locking each item, take 2 tags and put it on both locks.

The trainee must get a switch lock from the cabinet and place it on the switch, and then a valve lock and place it on the valve. Once done, they must get 2 tags from the cabinet and place one each on the switch and valve.

The following appears on the console screen:

Good job! You have successfully locked and tagged 2 power sources. Remove the tags and locks. You can put them back in the cabinet.

The trainee must then remove both locks and both tags. The setup is complete once the trainee removes the last tag.

The setup is successful if both objects have been locked after being turned off/closed, and then unlocked again.

If any object is locked while on or open, the setup will be marked as failed.
